Falcon 10X receives award that has already been won by Tesla

The Falcon 10X, Dassault Aviation's future ultra-long-range, wide-cabin business aircraft, received a major industrial design award in the United States.

The Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design awarded the project a Gold trophy from the Chicago Athenaeum Award, the same as the iPhone in 2008 and the Tesla Model S in 2013.

Among the highlights of the project is its innovative cabin solutions that offer an eclectic atmosphere, within Dassault's concept of a penthouse in the sky, which explores sensory capabilities through colors, interior design and materials. The Falcon 10X also has windows that are 50% larger than those installed on the Falcon 8X, following the trend in the segment to make better use of natural lighting.

Dassault's creative solutions stood out in the Automotive & Transportation category, where different concepts competed, from automobiles to airplanes, passing through other projects related to the segment, including trains, boats, trucks, among others.

This is the first time that Dassault Aviation has won in the Gold category, where renowned projects such as the Tesla Model S, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Rolls-Royce Dawn and BMW i3 won in past editions.

Also winning in the same category was Boeing in 2011, with the interior design of the 787 Dreamliner thanks to expansive interior architecture, as well as dynamic LED lighting that simulates light patterns from day to night. At the time, windows with photosensitive adjustment, which are 65% larger than average, and larger storage compartments were also highlights.

Announced in May 2021, one of the highlights of the Falcon 10X is its modular cabin, with a cross-section of 2.77 meters and a height of 2.03 meters, which makes it the largest of all business aircraft today (excluding converted models). of commercial aircraft), surpassing even the Embraer E-Jet.

The new Dassault jet will feature an all-new fuselage, being the largest member of the Falcon family, in direct competition with the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 8000.

The Falcon 10X will have a range of up to 7,500 nm (13,400km), being able to fly between São Paulo and any destination in Europe, the Americas and Africa.

The production of parts for the executive jet is in full swing and the industrial teams are preparing to start the final assembly of the first aircraft.
