Company managed to reduce the gap in commercial aircraft deliveries in August compared to 2023

Manufacturer delivered 40 aircraft, five more than last year. Total for the year reached 258 jets, 25% less than in 2023

Boeing managed to reduce the gap in commercial aircraft deliveries in August compared to 2023. Last month, 40 jets were delivered, five more than in the same month last year.

The 737 MAX, which has a huge waiting list, had 32 jets sent to customers, ten more than in August 2023 and one more than in July.

In the sum from January to August, the narrow-body aircraft had 198 deliveries, 67 less than in 2023. But it is worth noting that in the last three months alone, 97 planes were delivered, or half of the total for the year.

Among the wide-body passenger aircraft, Boeing delivered the first 787-8 of the year to Air Tanzania, ending a nine-month hiatus in which the smallest of the Dreamliners was not delivered to a customer.

In addition, two 787-9s and one 787-10 were delivered. This year, the family has 32 aircraft delivered, eight fewer than in 2023.

Freighters had four deliveries (1 767F and 3 777F) while military orders (P-8 and KC-46) had no deliveries.

With this, the company reached a total of 258 commercial aircraft delivered so far, a 25% drop compared to 2023.

Boeing has not made estimates for deliveries in 2024 due to the various problems it faces on the assembly line.

EL AL and USAF Orders... In terms of orders, Boeing has registered an agreement for 20 737 MAXs with EL AL and also an order for two 737-700s that will be transformed into the E-7A Wedgetail, an airborne early warning aircraft that will be operated by the US Air Force (USAF).

From January to August, the company claims to have 250 gross orders, but only 122 aircraft in net orders.
