Czech Republic signs contract for the acquisition of eleven Airbus H145 helicopters
The Czech Ministry of the Interior signed a contract with Airbus on Wednesday (27) for the acquisition of eleven five-bladed H145 helicopters for the Czech police air service.
The aircraft will be used in public security, policing, search and rescue, and aeromedical transport missions, within the country's security infrastructure modernization program.
The agreement includes the delivery of the aircraft, as well as a training and logistical support package aimed at the operational integration of the new fleet.
Replacement of the H135 fleet...The Czech police already operate nine helicopters from the H135 family, also manufactured by Airbus. According to the manufacturer, the replacement with the H145 will allow for an expansion of the tactical range and payload capacity of operations, as well as simplifying maintenance processes through digital systems.
Multi-mission helicopter...The H145 is a twin-engine helicopter designed for multi-mission tasks. The model can be configured for police operations, aeromedical evacuation, rescue, utility transport, and government support.
The aircraft is equipped with Safran Arriel 2E engines and a FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system, as well as the Helionix digital avionics suite. The package includes a four-axis autopilot, a feature aimed at reducing pilot workload and increasing operational safety.
According to Airbus, more than 1,800 helicopters from the H145 family are in operation worldwide, accumulating more than 8.5 million flight hours. More than two hundred units operate in public service and law enforcement missions in different countries.
