Cessna launches SkyCourier aircraft version with in-flight door, targeting civil and military markets

Textron Aviation has announced a new in-flight operable door option for the passenger version of the Cessna C408 SkyCourier twin-engine turboprop, expanding the aircraft's versatility in special military, humanitarian, and commercial missions. The feature is expected to be available as a factory option for special missions starting in 2028.

According to Bob Gibbs, the company's Vice President of Special Missions Sales, the new feature reinforces the aircraft's reputation. "The option opens new opportunities for customers worldwide, including armed forces, wildfirefighting teams, humanitarian aid groups, and commercial skydiving operators."
