BOMBARDIER
Bombardier announced that the Global 8000, the world's fastest business jet, has received type certification from Transport Canada, marking a decisive step towards its planned entry into service in 2025.
Certifications from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will follow in line with delivery schedules.
Stephen McCullough, Bombardier's Senior Vice President of Engineering and Development, highlighted the dedication of the teams involved: “This milestone is a testament to the exceptional talent and commitment of our engineering, testing and production teams, reflecting the excellence that defines Bombardier.”
In addition to comfort, the jet boasts cutting-edge performance, with a maximum speed of Mach 0.95, the fastest in business aviation since the Concorde, and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
