Executive aircraft deliveries soar and revenue hits US$5 billion in the first quarter

The general aviation industry saw growth in aircraft deliveries and total shipment value in the first quarter of 2025. Data released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) shows an increase in deliveries across all aircraft segments, with piston and turboprop aircraft standing out.

From January to March 2025, 627 fixed-wing aircraft were delivered, an increase of 18.1% compared to the 531 units delivered in the same period in 2024. Piston aircraft recorded the largest proportional increase, with growth of 19.3%, rising from 296 to 353 units. Turboprops saw an increase of 23.1%, with 133 deliveries.

Executive jets totaled 141 units, an increase of 11% over the 127 delivered in the previous year. The total value of aircraft deliveries reached US$5.04 billion, representing an increase of 25.7% compared to the first quarter of 2024, when the sector totaled US$4.01 billion in revenue. The rotary wing segment also showed slight growth. 187 helicopters were delivered in the first quarter, up 1.6% compared to 184 in the previous year.

Deliveries of piston helicopters increased 1.9%, with 54 units, while those of turbine-engine helicopters grew 1.5%, totaling 133 units. The segment's total revenue was US$769 million, up 12.4% year-over-year. Data from the “General Aviation Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report” indicate a consistent recovery in the sector, with an increase in both the volume of deliveries and the value moved by manufacturers.
