Boeing delivers 1,000th 737 MAX

After delivering the last Boeing 747, Boeing reached the mark of 1,000 deliveries of the Boeing 737 MAX family, although it has not communicated this fact.

Irish leasing company Avolon announced on Twitter that it had recently delivered the 1,000th 737 MAX produced by Boeing to a customer, although it also did not say which customer and when the delivery took place.

Boeing delivered the first 737 MAX, a 737 MAX 8, to Malindo Air (Batik Air Malaysia) on May 16, 2017. In the first year after the first delivery, the manufacturer delivered more than 130 examples of its new single-aisle model customers, becoming a bestseller in the manufacturer.

In March 2019, after two accidents, aviation authorities around the world issued a flight ban for the 737 MAX, which was in effect until November 2020. During this period, the manufacturer stopped series production, but did not stop it completely, resulting in a large delivery backlog of more than 400 aircraft. Boeing has been delivering the 737 MAX again since December 2020. In 2022, Boeing delivered 387 new 737 MAXs to customers.
