GULFSTREAM

Giant aeronautics delivered the 100th G600

Gulfstream delivered the 100th G600, which was outfitted at the manufacturer's completion center in Dallas, Texas, and delivered to an undisclosed North American customer. The mark was reached shortly after the G500 also celebrated one hundred deliveries, which occurred in the second half of last year.

The G500/G600 family was simultaneously unveiled in October 2014 and developed from the ground up, thus inaugurating Guflstream's GVII series, which has enjoyed strong sales ever since. Now accumulating two hundred deliveries, the two business jets maintained their good sales prospects even during the health crisis, where demand for long-range business aircraft grew in much of the world.

“Thanks to its highly customizable cabin, fuel-efficient design and exceptional performance capability, we are seeing unabated customer demand,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

The G600 has a range of 6,600 nautical miles (12,223 kilometers) flying at Mach 0.85 or 5,600 nautical miles (10,371 km) at Mach 0.90, with its cabin accommodating up to 19 passengers in four living areas. One of the highlights of the G500/G600 family is a lower cabin altitude, compared to the industry standard, with permanent air exchange, guaranteeing 100% fresh and purified air by the ionization and plasma system.

Since its first flight, the G600 has set more than 35 records between city pairs, including Washington, D.C., to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 11 hours and 40 minutes; Paris to Rio de Janeiro in 9 hours and 42 minutes; and London to Seattle in 8 hours and 40 minutes.
